Acharya is an upcoming Indian mega multi-starrer movie. Chiranjeevi had earlier played guest roles in Ram Charan’s movies, but this is the first time that the father-son duo sharing screen space in full-length roles. Directed by Koratala Siva, ‘Acharya’ is now in the post-production stage. The film will hit the screens on February 4, 2022, as planned. There is no change in the release plans. Amidst the rumors that the film would be postponed again, here comes the clarity. Chiranjeevi plays the titular character, while Ram Charan plays Siddha, a student leader with a leftist ideology. Pooja Hegde is his female companion. Kajal Aggarwal has been paired opposite Chiranjeevi. Produced by Niranjan Reddy and composed by Mani Sharma, ‘Acharya’ unveiled two songs and three teasers.

Chiranjeevi essays the role of a middle-aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer in Acharya’s movie. He also lined up other two projects and one of them is with Meher Ramesh. This movie is named ‘Bhola Shankar’ and will be directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Ramabramhham Sunkara under the AK Entertainments and Creative Commercials banners. There are speculations that Bhola Shankar is the remake of Thala Ajith’s Vedalam movie. Speaking about the second movie, it is God Father… It is a remake of Malayalam super hit Lucifer. This movie is being directed by Mohan Raja who is best known for the films such as Jayam, M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, Santosh Subramaniam, and Thani Oruvan. He is making his comeback after two decades and thus there are a lot of expectations on this movie. Producer NV Prasad is bankrolling this movie in association with Konidela Production Company.

The film was launched in October 2019. Principal photography began in January 2020 but the production has been delayed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially scheduled to be released on 13 May 2021, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The film is now scheduled to be released theatrically on 4 February 2022.
